Laila Zommers: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Laila Zommers and I’m from Seattle, WA. I’m double majoring in Accounting and Business Administration (with a Finance concentration). I am the oldest of 3, and my younger sister (17) and younger brother (15) are my best friends! Joining Setons this year has truly been one of the best decisions I have EVER made. Outside of Setons, I am an active member in the Gonzaga Women in Business club. I love to cook, go on runs, hang out with friends, shop, and explore the Spokane coffee scene.                                            Out of our three pillars, I have resonated the most with Sisterhood as it’s the backbone of everything we do in Setons. Lauren O'Grady - Leadership

Hey! My name is Lauren O'Grady. I am a Psychology and Spanish major with a minor in Leadership Studies. I'm from Danville, California which is about 30 minutes away from San Francisco. In my free time, I love to play guitar, go on runs, spend time with my family and friends, and listen to Harry Styles. Being a Seton has been such a great experience and I'm excited to share part of what made my time so memorable.
Setons as an organization has such strong core values, and the value I want to share about is leadership. I love the sisterhood and service aspects as well, but I feel that without leadership, the service and sisterhood components wouldn't be as strong. For example, we all had to use leadership skills such as initiative and charisma to grow in our relationships with our sisters. We also had to use leadership skills such as integrity and determination in order to serve. In terms of my official leadership role, I had the opportunity to serve as a Co-Welcome Day Chair, which was such a fun position! I got to plan the entire day with my sister Elly, meet all the new girls, and help them get excited for their upcoming year. Welcome Day is a sisterhood-focused day, and I feel our leadership skills helped make it as successful as possible. I am so thankful to have been a Seton and I can't wait to see what the new class accomplishes next year. ATTS forever!
