Yuna Jang: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Yuna and I am from Sacramento, California. A bit about my home life, I have a sister who currently attends Baylor University on track to become a doctor and I am currently studying nursing. My parents own their own sushi restaurant so I can confidently say sushi is my favorite food (and I know good sushi). Other than Setons, I am also involved in the Gonzaga Student Nurses Association here on campus as well as when I’m at home from school, I work at my local gym’s kid’s club because I love working with kids! Although nursing is pretty rigorous academically, in my spare time I live with 3 other roommates and we love to cook, watch movies, go on walks, and shop!  I chose the Seton pillar of sisterhood. This pillar is truly what drew me to Setons in the first place. As a 2nd semester freshman girl, I felt like I had met a lot of people but didn’t truly connect with any to call them a close friend. However, once I joined Setons, I got to truly and deeply connect with ...

Charlotte Osborne - Sisterhood

Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte Osborne and I’m from Redmond, Washington. I’m on the pre-law track and a Business major concentrating in Marketing with a minor in Public Relations! This semester, I chose to do school fully virtual while living in Southern California with 2 of my best friends, it was an amazing opportunity and I am so lucky!!!
Because of the pandemic, Setons has also been mostly virtual, so I have gotten know my sisters and fam online. I have been super lucky to be able to participate and appreciate all three pillars that Setons emphasizes, but sisterhood has stood out to me - especially being 1000 miles away. When I decided to move, I wasn’t sure what this would mean for my involvement in Setons, but I still was able to feel so connected through weekly meetings, service, and sister dates.
I have gotten to know amazing women that truly care about others and the importance of service, while also making great friends. I also have been able to bond with my fam over zoom and make connections with girls from other grades and learn a lot from their experiences. Sisterhood is so important to me, the world needs more women uplifting women like Setons do! I am so excited to be back in Spokane to meet my sisters in person and continue the sisterhood!
