Yuna Jang: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Yuna and I am from Sacramento, California. A bit about my home life, I have a sister who currently attends Baylor University on track to become a doctor and I am currently studying nursing. My parents own their own sushi restaurant so I can confidently say sushi is my favorite food (and I know good sushi). Other than Setons, I am also involved in the Gonzaga Student Nurses Association here on campus as well as when I’m at home from school, I work at my local gym’s kid’s club because I love working with kids! Although nursing is pretty rigorous academically, in my spare time I live with 3 other roommates and we love to cook, watch movies, go on walks, and shop!  I chose the Seton pillar of sisterhood. This pillar is truly what drew me to Setons in the first place. As a 2nd semester freshman girl, I felt like I had met a lot of people but didn’t truly connect with any to call them a close friend. However, once I joined Setons, I got to truly and deeply connect with ...

Sofia Sallee - Sisterhood

Hello everyone! My name is Sofia Sallee and I am from a little beach town called San Clemente in Southern California. I am majoring in Human Physiology on the pre-med track and with my degree I plan to use it to take me to medical school. Within medical school, my goal is to become an acupuncturist or naturopathic doctor! I love driving with the windows down on a sunny day blaring the speakers, going to the beach, doing bonfires, and anything really outside with some good friends. Last but not least, I am obsessed with anything from trader joes especially the Trader Joe’s spin on Taki’s.
I love all three pillars that setons has but I would say that sisterhood is my favorite. I am an only child and filling the feeling of having relationships like sisters means the world to me. Setons has fulfilled that role of having sisters. It brings joy to my heart that I can go to a meeting and come out of it feeling so happy and uplifted after hanging out with my sisters. I enjoy that we can do service and work together and have a good time being together with the sisters as well. Sisterhood is important to me because it creates bonds that you will have for a long time and empowering us women together. With a sisterhood bond, it motivates us to work for each other and others and push each other to great potential
