Mary Maidment: Service

Hi! My name is Mary Maidment and I am from Portland, Oregon. I am studying neuroscience with a minor in psychology on the pre-med track. On campus, I work as an events assistant and as an Ambassador, frequently giving tours. When I have free time, I love to be outside hiking, shopping, intramural sports, workout classes, and spending time with friends. This year, my team won our softball and volleyball intramural championships!! I have been busy watching the new Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season and just finished Scandal. What drew me to Setons was the Service pillar. Since I was young, my family has made an effort to be actively involved in different forms of service in our community. Claire Pasco - Service

Hey everyone! My name is Claire Pasco, and I am from the Bay Area, California. I am majoring in Communications and pursuing a Teaching Certification in Elementary Education. Hammocking, ice coffee, and Gonzaga Basketball are some things that I really love!
Out of our 3 pillars, I have really enjoyed getting to fully participate in our service aspect. Having a remote first semester was tough but getting to be active and in person this semester participating in service events has been such a blessing! Service has always been very important to me and I try to give back whenever and wherever I can. My service group and I volunteer with Blessings Under the Bridge, where we sort through clothing donations to help out the homeless and those in need. BUTB puts on many events and runs many drives to give back to the community, and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of this service. This weekly event really bonds us together as sisters and strengthens our connection to our local community. I am so glad to be finding sisterhood through service events! I’m looking forward to many more service days ahead :)
