Catherine Steiner - Service

Hello! My name is Catherine Steiner, I’m from Edmonds, Washington, and I am an English Major with a Concentration in Writing and a double minor in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurial Leadership. I come from a big Zag family, three out of my four siblings went to Gonzaga so I’ve been going to Family Weekend and visiting campus since I was 7. A little fun fact is that my two older sisters were also in Setons, so I have had a love for this club since I was young! I am currently a part of the Setons Executive Board as this year's class President! As President I am responsible for leading all meetings, and ensure we continuously uphold our pillars of sisterhood, service and leadership. Clare Kennedy - Service

Hi! My name is Clare Kennedy and I’m from Portland, Oregon. I’m a Psychology major with a General Business minor and I am so happy to be a part of Setons and have had so much fun being active this semester! I’m a huge dog lover, enjoy painting and love getting involved in the Spokane community.
I have had an incredible time at my service placement, Blessings Under the Bridge. Every Tuesday, Libby, Ashley, and I make meals to be distributed at a Wednesday night feed for people experiencing food insecurity in Spokane, including the homeless population. Normally we make sandwiches, but this week we made shepherd’s pie and green pudding for a St. Patrick’s Day-themed feast. Although we have not been able to directly interact with the community we are serving, volunteering at Blessing has helped me grow closer to my sisters and learn more about all the great work that the organization does. On our first day of serving, we were given a tour of the property and were able to see the behind-the-scenes aspect of Blessings, where there are mass donations of food, clothing, furniture, and other goods people are in need of. It was inspiring to see how Blessings seeks to meet the needs of the community while treating all their friends that they serve with dignity and love. I can’t wait to continue to serve!
