Audrey Mitchell: Leadership

Hi Everyone! My name is Audrey, and I’m from Seattle, Washington! I’m majoring in Economics and Business Administration with a concentration in Law and Public Policy and a minor in Leadership. On campus, I’m involved in the Comprehensive Leadership Program and Setons! In my free time, I love playing tennis, reading, and hanging out with friends and family. Something Seton related that I’m looking forward to is the retreat! I’m so excited to have time with all my sisters! The pillar in Setons that I’m most involved in is Leadership! I appreciate that Setons takes a leadership role not only in the Gonzaga community but also in the larger Spokane community through service in Spokane and on-campus event planning. It’s such a wonderful way to get involved in our communities. I am also so excited to be the Vice President of Setons and to work behind the scenes to make Setons as amazing as possible! Katie Aguirre - Service

Howdy howdy !!
My name I Katie Aguirre, I am a nursing major from Northern California and one of this year's co-service chairs! My top three picks of life are ABBA, car jam sessions, and almond butter.
Having grown up serving the Chico community with my mom and younger sister, I knew this is something I wanted to continue pursuing throughout my time at Gonzaga. As I came across Setons, I knew this was an organization for me as it involved meeting new girls who were just as passionate as myself and serving the greater community each and every week. As a result, of this passion, I ran to be service chair and was even elected! While, at this point, we have not started our service yet, it is by far my favorite pilar. Serving others is something which I value deeply and being able to reach out to the community and work with organizations that each of us girls are passionate about and deeply invested in and with.
As I begin working with displaced children and their mothers and Transitions Living Center (TLC) this upcoming week, I am beyond thrilled and overcome with emotion at being able to continue a passion my mother instilled in me from a young age. Further forging the bond with the four other girls I will be volunteering with each week is something I look forward to and know will only deepen my love for giving back and the sisters I am so lucky to have.
Having a break each week to give back and get away from the stress of microbiology and human anatomy is something I am looking forward to. I cannot wait for the experiences to come and the memories made as we begin to serve and grow closer to not only the community but one another!
