Catherine Steiner - Service

Hello! My name is Catherine Steiner, I’m from Edmonds, Washington, and I am an English Major with a Concentration in Writing and a double minor in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurial Leadership. I come from a big Zag family, three out of my four siblings went to Gonzaga so I’ve been going to Family Weekend and visiting campus since I was 7. A little fun fact is that my two older sisters were also in Setons, so I have had a love for this club since I was young! I am currently a part of the Setons Executive Board as this year's class President! As President I am responsible for leading all meetings, and ensure we continuously uphold our pillars of sisterhood, service and leadership. My favorite part about being in Setons has been meeting so many wonderful girls, and being more involved both on and off campus! Outside of Setons, I am a part of the Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership program which has taught me so many communication, collaboration and leadership skills wh...

Karina Clark: Sisterhood

Hi everyone, my name is Karina Clark and I am this year's class Chaplin! I am from Sacramento California and I am majoring in Nursing. Nursing is something that I am super passionate about, a lot of the women in my family are or were nurses so choosing this career path was something that made so much sense for me. I played lots of sports in high school including swimming and playing water polo. I still swim all the time for fun! In my free time I love to get outside, especially right now before it gets too cold. I also love to do crafts or be creative in any way. Since it's fall time, I am currently re-watching Gilmore Girls of course!

The pillar I chose to write about is sisterhood, arguably the best pillar of Setons. When I joined Setons I was excited to be a part of a club that was so passionate about being involved in volunteering but also about bringing girls together. I remember when I went to events before I applied and seeing last year's class and how tight-knit they were and I was so excited to be a part of something that would bring me so close with other girls. We have been together as a class now for a couple of months and I already feel this bond that is bringing us closer. Volunteering placements have also allowed me to get closer with some of my other Setons and we always have the best stories! Sister dates are also my favorite because we are all still rightfully getting to know each other better cause there are so many of us so it's been so fun to spend time with other setons and do fun stuff! I am so grateful for the girls Setons has brought me and I can't wait to make more memories.
