Eleanor Johnson: Service

Hi! My name is Eleanor Johnson, and I am from Snohomish, Washington. I am majoring in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and have a minor in dance. Outside of class I work with Campus Kitchens, a program on campus that takes leftover food from campus dining to cook warm meals that are then served to Gonzaga Family Haven and O’Malley Senior Center. Along with Setons I am apart of Women in Business, Beta Alpha Psi, and the involved in the Gonzaga dance program. In my free time I like to read, get coffee, take workout classes, and watch Gilmore Girls.   I joined Girl Scouts in first grade and ever since, Service has been extremely important to me and something I strive to keep a part of my life. Growing up in Girl Scouts allowed me to recognize the importance of helping those in my community from an early age and has ultimately led me to be the person I am today. Service was the pillar that drove me to join Setons, and I’m so ...

Catherine Vaughn - Sisterhood

Hi! My name is Catherine Vaughn and I am this year’s Chaplain! I am from Redmond, Washington and I am majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Promotions. I love coffee, podcasts, and cheesy motivational quotes! If I am not in class, I am most likely on my way to a club meeting, getting coffee with a friend, or taking a nap.
I love all of the pillars of Setons, but my favorite is definitely Sisterhood. I applied to Setons because I was having a hard time finding a community my freshman year and I had heard great things about the club. I can without a doubt say that my time in Setons has not only enhanced my sophomore year, but also my overall Gonzaga experience. Through meetings, sister dates, and even just seeing my sisters around campus, I have made lifelong bonds with 28 girls that I may not have been able to meet without joining Setons. Every meeting feels like I am hanging out with my friends and I am lucky to have these girls by my side, especially during this unconventional year. Setons has also given me the chance to bond with previous classes of Setons and I have gained many incredible mentors through uniting over our love of this amazing organization. Every Seton, new or old, inspires me to be a better leader, student, and friend. I am grateful that I took a chance on applying to Setons and I am so lucky to call these girls my sisters. ATTS!
