Eleanor Johnson: Service

Hi! My name is Eleanor Johnson, and I am from Snohomish, Washington. I am majoring in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and have a minor in dance. Outside of class I work with Campus Kitchens, a program on campus that takes leftover food from campus dining to cook warm meals that are then served to Gonzaga Family Haven and O’Malley Senior Center. Along with Setons I am apart of Women in Business, Beta Alpha Psi, and the involved in the Gonzaga dance program. In my free time I like to read, get coffee, take workout classes, and watch Gilmore Girls.   I joined Girl Scouts in first grade and ever since, Service has been extremely important to me and something I strive to keep a part of my life. Growing up in Girl Scouts allowed me to recognize the importance of helping those in my community from an early age and has ultimately led me to be the person I am today. Service was the pillar that drove me to join Setons, and I’m so ...

Gabby Funaro: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Gabby Funaro and I am from Spokane. I am currently double majoring in public relations and dance! Outside of Setons I am super involved within the dance department and am one of the recruitment chairs for the dance board. Other than dancing, I love spending time with my family at the lake, hanging out with my friends, going to concerts (especially country) , and going on walks with my yellow lab Hercules! A definite highlight of this school year has been Setons; it’s truly been the most amazing experience, and I have loved every second of it. I am one of this year's media co-chairs, and that has been super fun!
The three pillars all stood out to me when I was applying for Setons. They are all truly so important and part of what makes our club so special! The pillar I will be talking about is sisterhood. As someone who has grown up only with a brother, I am so grateful for the 30 girls that have become my sisters! The connections and bonds that are created are something that I feel so blessed to have experienced. I have had so much fun getting to know everyone by sister dates, socials, and service events. Sisterhood is something that is close to my heart, and I am so thankful for these 30 girls!
