Claire Sladovnik: Leadership

Hi! My name is Claire Sladovnik and I am from Littleton, Colorado! I am currently double majoring in International Studies and Sociology with a minor in Critical Race & Ethnic Studies. I adore traveling, spending quality time outside, making lattes with my espresso machine, and then buying lattes after making them doesn't always work out for me:). On campus I am in Drumline, a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, overly competitive in intramurals, and, of course, I am in Setons! It is only October, but I am already so incredibly grateful for the women and experiences I have the privilege of surrounding myself around every single week.     The pillar I love growing most in is Leadership. To me, a leader isn't just someone who holds a title, but a person who paves a path through their actions, intentions, lifestyle, words, or relationships. I was once taught that every single person is a leader in their own way, and I bel...

Juliana Bonetto: Sisterhood

Hi! My name is Juliana Bonetto and I am from San Diego, California. I am a nine-semester nursing student here at Gonzaga and plan to study abroad in the fall. When I am not studying or doing homework, I like to read, watch movies and TV, board games, concerts, and spend time with my family and friends. During the summer I love beach days and watching the sunset. I also love to travel and see new places. In Setons, I am looking forward to making new friends and building stronger relations with the amazing girls in this group. I am thankful to all of them for welcoming me into the club with open arms.
The pillar I will be talking about is sisterhood. This pillar is one of the main reasons I joined Setons. As a nursing major I have classes with mostly nursing students, so I liked being able to meet people outside my major as well as growing closer to those that are in nursing. One of my favorite memories so far in Setons was when we hiked Bowl and Pitcher as our monthly social event. It was my first social event, and I was a little nervous, but all the girls were so nice and welcoming. Many of them took turns introducing themselves and asking questions to get to know me. The sister dates are also some much fun as I get to know another girl one-on-one in a fun setting. Everyone is always so nice and friendly and it's always so fun to see my fellow Setons around campus.
