Laila Zommers: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Laila Zommers and I’m from Seattle, WA. I’m double majoring in Accounting and Business Administration (with a Finance concentration). I am the oldest of 3, and my younger sister (17) and younger brother (15) are my best friends! Joining Setons this year has truly been one of the best decisions I have EVER made. Outside of Setons, I am an active member in the Gonzaga Women in Business club. I love to cook, go on runs, hang out with friends, shop, and explore the Spokane coffee scene.                                            Out of our three pillars, I have resonated the most with Sisterhood as it’s the backbone of everything we do in Setons. Maddy Way: Service

Hello! My name is Maddy Way. I am from Mercer Island Washington. I am studying Accounting at Gonzaga University. I have a little sister and two cats. My favorite things to do are going to coffee shops, painting, cooking, skiing, and exploring new places with my family/friends. My favorite shows are Gilmore Girls (especially watching with my mom), any reality dating show, or a real estate show. I am a big Star Wars and Marvel girl too. All though Setons is coming to an end, I am looking forward to continuing all the amazing friendships I gained through Setons.

Service is such an important pillar in my life and in Setons. In high school, I had participated in The National Charity League (NCL) with my mom. This is something that shaped my high school experience because I got to volunteer and help people with my mom and friends. This experience helped us bond closer than we would have without it, because in my opinion helping other people ultimately brings you closer together. This is also what Setons is about to me. I have the wonderful opportunity to help people with people that I love, creating an even more meaningful experience than it would have before. I specifically love monthly services because there are so many of us, it feels like we are really making a difference and helping these people who need it. It is also an amazing bonding experience and a way to interact with people we may not typically interact with every day. I am so grateful for everything and everyone Setons has brought to my life.
