Catherine Steiner - Service

Hello! My name is Catherine Steiner, I’m from Edmonds, Washington, and I am an English Major with a Concentration in Writing and a double minor in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurial Leadership. I come from a big Zag family, three out of my four siblings went to Gonzaga so I’ve been going to Family Weekend and visiting campus since I was 7. As President I am responsible for leading all meetings, and ensure we continuously uphold our pillars of sisterhood, service and leadership. Artisans Reflection: Bret Matysik

This week marks the first of many spent volunteering with Artisans. As Knights and Setons, we will be individually assigned with helping a disabled person in the Spokane community to improve his or her professional habits in order to transition them into the workplace.  I am so excited to see the difference that I can individually make, as well as the difference that Knights and Setons can collectively make in the lives of these people seeking employment. I believe that we will make a significant difference in the lives of our mentees, while developing our own leadership abilities and outlook on life through our work. I think I speak for the group in saying that I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of something that is bigger than myself and I am delighted to lend a helping hand to those who truly need it.
