Yuna Jang: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Yuna and I am from Sacramento, California. A bit about my home life, I have a sister who currently attends Baylor University on track to become a doctor and I am currently studying nursing. My parents own their own sushi restaurant so I can confidently say sushi is my favorite food (and I know good sushi). Other than Setons, I am also involved in the Gonzaga Student Nurses Association here on campus as well as when I’m at home from school, I work at my local gym’s kid’s club because I love working with kids! Although nursing is pretty rigorous academically, in my spare time I live with 3 other roommates and we love to cook, watch movies, go on walks, and shop!  I chose the Seton pillar of sisterhood. This pillar is truly what drew me to Setons in the first place. As a 2nd semester freshman girl, I felt like I had met a lot of people but didn’t truly connect with any to call them a close friend. However, once I joined Setons, I got to truly and deeply connect with ...

Lily Thornburg: Sisterhood

Hi, I'm Lily and I from Seattle Washington. On a business administration major with concentrations, in entrepreneurship, and innovation international business and marketing. I'm involved in new venture lab on campus and the Gonzaga ambassadors' program aside from being a part of Setons of Gonzaga. I really enjoy going on walks, listening to podcasts, and watching sunsets. I'm looking forward to all the fun memories the rest of sophomore year has to hold.
The sisterhood pillar in setons stands out to me the most because of the importance of it in all aspects of what we do at setons. During service I grow so close with my sisters and have really enjoyed getting to know them on a deeper level. I'm also one of this year's social chair so I get to plan all our social events and facilitate our bonding Activities. I thoroughly enjoy our Wednesday meetings where we get to update each other on all things new within the club and our lives. My favorite moment thus far has been retreat. I planed it with my co chair and feel so much more bonded with everyone in our group because of the time we got to have together. I'm so thankful for all of the friends that I've met through this organization and can't wait to continue our relationships after Setons is over.
