Eleanor Johnson: Service

Hi! My name is Eleanor Johnson, and I am from Snohomish, Washington. I am majoring in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and have a minor in dance. Outside of class I work with Campus Kitchens, a program on campus that takes leftover food from campus dining to cook warm meals that are then served to Gonzaga Family Haven and O’Malley Senior Center. Along with Setons I am apart of Women in Business, Beta Alpha Psi, and the involved in the Gonzaga dance program. In my free time I like to read, get coffee, take workout classes, and watch Gilmore Girls.   I joined Girl Scouts in first grade and ever since, Service has been extremely important to me and something I strive to keep a part of my life. Growing up in Girl Scouts allowed me to recognize the importance of helping those in my community from an early age and has ultimately led me to be the person I am today. Maddie Douty: Sisterhood

Hi! My name is Maddie and I am so so happy to be a Seton this year! I am from Fresno, California and I love to be home visiting my family and getting some sun, but in Spokane I love to spend time with my friends by hanging out, going shopping, or taking little trips :) I am a nursing major at Gonzaga and I am hoping to work as a NICU nurse after graduation at a children’s hospital back home!

Being a part of Setons has been so special to me, particularly the sisterhood aspect of the club. I never imagined that I would be surrounded by so many amazing women and form all these new connections and friendships with so many great girls. The community formed in Setons is truly like nothing I have ever experienced, and I know that all of these girls can be counted on. Setons led me to a group of independent, kind, and dependable ladies, all of which I have been blessed to form a connection with. Coming into Setons, I was originally intimidated by all of the new faces, but as time passed, I quickly was able to get to know everyone, and I knew that would only get better as the year went on. One of my favorite parts of Setons are the weekly meetings and the monthly socials because I love getting to see the girls and chat to know a little bit more about them. For me, sisterhood is so important because I know that the girls are going to be with you through any kind of time; good, bad, happy, sad. The connections you make in college can follow you through your whole life, and I am so happy that I have gotten to know and befriend so many great girls through Setons.
