Yuna Jang: Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Yuna and I am from Sacramento, California. A bit about my home life, I have a sister who currently attends Baylor University on track to become a doctor and I am currently studying nursing. My parents own their own sushi restaurant so I can confidently say sushi is my favorite food (and I know good sushi). Other than Setons, I am also involved in the Gonzaga Student Nurses Association here on campus as well as when I’m at home from school, I work at my local gym’s kid’s club because I love working with kids! Although nursing is pretty rigorous academically, in my spare time I live with 3 other roommates and we love to cook, watch movies, go on walks, and shop!  I chose the Seton pillar of sisterhood. This pillar is truly what drew me to Setons in the first place. As a 2nd semester freshman girl, I felt like I had met a lot of people but didn’t truly connect with any to call them a close friend. However, once I joined Setons, I got to truly and deeply connect with ...

Nathalia Meza: Service

Hi there! My name is Nathalia Meza, and I am from Los Angeles, California. I am a nursing major here at Gonzaga! Joining Setons has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Getting to be surrounded by and a part of such an amazing group of girls has been one of the most memorable experiences of my sophomore year! Setons has been a great opportunity to expand my involvement within Gonzaga and the greater Spokane community by making lasting impacts through acts of service. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, thrifting, playing the ukulele, and spending time with my friends.

One of the aspects of Setons that I truly enjoy is the opportunity to give back and serve the greater Spokane community through various weekly and monthly volunteer opportunities. I’ve had the privilege of volunteering at the Isaac Foundation here in Spokane, where I’ve created so many valuable memories while engaging with the community. During my time there, my service group and I had the chance to play board games and participate in a variety of fun activities with kids ranging from 6th to 12th grade. The countless laughs and the positive impact we were able to make on their day are moments I will forever cherish. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to make a lasting difference through service. It has positively impacted my life in so many ways, and I’m excited to continue building memories through service in the future.
