Eleanor Johnson: Service

Hi! My name is Eleanor Johnson, and I am from Snohomish, Washington. I am majoring in Accounting and Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and have a minor in dance. Outside of class I work with Campus Kitchens, a program on campus that takes leftover food from campus dining to cook warm meals that are then served to Gonzaga Family Haven and O’Malley Senior Center. Along with Setons I am apart of Women in Business, Beta Alpha Psi, and the involved in the Gonzaga dance program. In my free time I like to read, get coffee, take workout classes, and watch Gilmore Girls.   I joined Girl Scouts in first grade and ever since, Service has been extremely important to me and something I strive to keep a part of my life. Growing up in Girl Scouts allowed me to recognize the importance of helping those in my community from an early age and has ultimately led me to be the person I am today. Cate Wilson- Sisterhood

Hi there! My name is Cate Wilson and I’m from sunny, Tucson, AZ. I am a PR major with minors in digital marketing and journalism. I’m a huge fan of writing, traveling, hiking, books, vinyl shopping, interior design, baking, and finding cute coffee shops! I am a huge fan of Zag basketball, and can’t wait to cheer on our Zags this season! I am really looking forward to planning Charity Ball this year, and studying abroad next year.

Our three pillars (Leadership, Service, and Sisterhood) are all vital parts of being a Seton, but sisterhood really stands out to me. I have been on teams with supportive groups of girls my entire life, and I knew I needed that strong, support system when coming to university. Getting to know each and every one of my sisters has been such a treat! Weekly sister dates are the best part of my week, and it’s so fun to come up with a new date that fits each sister. Going to grab coffee or fro yo with your sister is such a joy, and it really relieves stress during the semester. When we have our wonderful socials, we can all come together and share the experiences and memories we continue to make with each other. Setons is the best way to get know girls in all different majors and walks of life, and you truly become friends forever! Your sisters will always have your back, and it’s so fun to play spot the Seton around campus. I’m so grateful for the bond we’ve created this year.
