Annie Laning: Service

Hi y’all! My name is Annie Justine and I’m from sunny Las Vegas, Nevada. I am a biology major (physiology concentration) with a chem minor and on the pre-med track. When I’m not studying, I am at FASU or helping with theatre productions. When I have free time I love reading, singing, or spending time with my friends! As of recently, I have been doing my yearly rewatch of Gilmore Girls. This year I am looking forward to serving the community with this amazing group of women! Now, my take on one of our three pillars, Service!! 

Service has been a massive part of my life. I started doing service when I was in 6th grade, so around 9 years ago. I have enjoyed being a light for people who need it most. I have seen how service can help someone, from how it has helped me to how it has helped the people I’ve served. So when I heard that this group has a pillar of service, I was drawn in immediately. I have learned so much from my time doing service and I can’t wait to learn more, especially with this amazing group of women each week. To sum it up, I love service and this group has shown me even more reasons to love serving the community, so I am grateful that we can bring the pillar of service to light every week!
