Catherine Steiner - Service

Hello! My name is Catherine Steiner, I’m from Edmonds, Washington, and I am an English Major with a Concentration in Writing and a double minor in Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurial Leadership. I come from a big Zag family, three out of my four siblings went to Gonzaga so I’ve been going to Family Weekend and visiting campus since I was 7. A little fun fact is that my two older sisters were also in Setons, so I have had a love for this club since I was young! I am currently a part of the Setons Executive Board as this year's class President! As President I am responsible for leading all meetings, and ensure we continuously uphold our pillars of sisterhood, service and leadership. My favorite part about being in Setons has been meeting so many wonderful girls, and being more involved both on and off campus! Outside of Setons, I am a part of the Hogan Entrepreneurial Leadership program which has taught me so many communication, collaboration and leadership skills wh...

Andie Rosenwald- Sisterhood

Hello! My name is Andie Rosenwald, and I am this year’s treasurer! I was born and raised in Bellevue, WA and I love everything the PNW has to offer. At home I like to play with my dog, hike, cook, try new coffee shops, and spend time with my friends and family. I have a twin sister and an older brother, so it is extra special when our lives overlap at home over breaks! At Gonzaga, I am an honors student double majoring in Business Administration and Environmental Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies. I also work in the Office of Sustainability and am involved in Gonzaga Environmental Organization and Gonzaga Women in Business. Life is busy, but I love it!

While I have felt extremely connected to each pillar throughout this year, sisterhood has been perhaps the most impactful so far. I came early to one Wednesday night meeting and got chatting with a few of the other members who were there too. I had gotten an email that day about intramural registration closing soon, so I threw out an idea that had been bouncing around my mind: what if we started an intramural team? Knowing our group of fun, adventurous girls, I was not surprised when everyone was on board! We put together a team for flag football and were all so excited to play. I was nervous for our first game, especially because I did not know everyone super well, but we had a ton of fun! We ended up winning by something like 35 points, and I genuinely do not think I have ever been a part of such a supportive, positive sports team. We finished our season with an okay record but went on to win the whole playoff bracket and get shirts! It was such a great way to bond with my fellow Setons. We loved it so much that we decided to play again for 6 on 6 volleyball and are now in the middle of our season with a 3-0 record! The love and support that radiates through these intramural teams is incredible, and I am so thankful to be a part of such a wonderful sisterhood.

Picture is of our 1st game of our volleyball team!
