Claire Sladovnik: Leadership

Hi! My name is Claire Sladovnik and I am from Littleton, Colorado! I am currently double majoring in International Studies and Sociology with a minor in Critical Race & Ethnic Studies. I adore traveling, spending quality time outside, making lattes with my espresso machine, and then buying lattes after making them doesn't always work out for me:). On campus I am in Drumline, a member of the National Honor Society of Leadership and Success, overly competitive in intramurals, and, of course, I am in Setons! Artisans Reflection: Morgan Nobach

Every Thursday, I am blessed to have the opportunity to go to Artisans and work with my mentee Kim. Kim is such a light within my life because of the constant joy she brings me. Each week she humbles me and continues to make me thankful for the things I am provided with. Kim and I clicked and had an instant connection from the start due to our similarities. Kim and I are both very girly and love to make arts and crafts, do our nails, and gossip about the latest styles and celebrities. Kim and I have made tremendous progress in our friendship throughout these past couple of months. At first, it was hard for Kim to open up to me, but now Kim feels comfortable asking me things and coming to me when she needs advice. I am eternally grateful that I can hangout with Kim every week and watch her continue to develop and grow into the amazing and kindhearted person she is. Kim has made a tremendous impact on my life and has taught me more about myself than I ever thought possible. I can confidently and wholeheartedly say that Thursday afternoons are the best part of my week because I get to spend time with such an amazing person.
